This silk habotai scarf was Shibori dyed to create an abstract design in that is reminiscent of some of the photographs of distant galaxies that have come back from the Hubble Space Telescope. Care: Hand wash separately in cold water with mild soap. Do not soak. Rinse in cold, clean water. Gently squeeze to remove water or roll up in a clean dry towel -- do not wring or twist. Lay flat to air-dry. Do not dry in the sun. Variations in texture are part of the dyeing process, but the scarf can be ironed flat if desired. Iron while slightly damp on the reverse side using the silk setting or very low heat. Store away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
